How this tracker works

Only you can see this. If a shift goes past midnight, enter the end time from the next morning; it is saved as one shift on the start date. Hours follow the real clock, so the daylight saving changes (March 8 and November 1, 2026) are counted. In Minnesota, employees earn at least 1 hour of Earned Sick and Safe Time for every 30 hours worked. Federal law usually requires overtime pay after 40 hours in a workweek; Minnesota law sets 48 hours for employers the federal rule does not cover. The tips below flag any employee week over 40 hours. Pay itself is worked out by your payroll provider.
